JN Life Insurance recognized its employees for their contribution in enabling the insurance company to have record-breaking year for 2022 during a ceremony held at the Terra Nova Hotel on April 3.
What made the record-breaking year all the more remarkable was the naming of almost half of the JN Life sales team as qualifiers of the Million Dollar Round Table. The MDRT is the Premier Worldwide Association of Financial and Insurance Professionals. Insurance advisors who qualify members are among the top 10 per cent in the Financial and Insurance Industry. For 2022, they were required to required to generate a minimum of $7.013 million coming from new business created during the production year. Those who meet these criteria are required to do so ethically.
Sales advisors: Winsome Atkinson, Shanalee Givans, Schamona Diah, Sanya Malcom and Jacqueline James were named Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) qualifiers.
“One of the accomplishments we had as a company was that we broke our sales record four times in 2022. When we started off 2022 we had 11 agents, five of whom qualified for the MDRT which is 45 per cent of the team,” said Mr. Othneil Blagrove, Senior Manager – Sales and marketing, JN Life Insurance.
Winsome Atkinson was named Top Advisor for 2022 achieving a total premium income of $7.3 million. Sanya Malcom was awarded Rookie of the Year for achieving a total premium income of $7.8 million. JN Bank Junction branch was named the branch with the most referrals.
“I am happy to see the result of my hard work and I am also proud that the company has also taken the time out to recognize not just my achievements, but also those of my colleagues and other members of the team. Thanks to all those who encouraged me over 2022,” an elated Atkinson stated.
Hugh Reid, General Manager, JN Life Insurance said the performance of the team enabled the company to have a successful year.
“We were keen about capitalising on our ONE JN-synergy as a member of the JN Group, relying on the strength of the JN network, brand and offerings to deliver exceptional value and experiences to members all across Jamaica,” Mr Reid said of the company’s performance.
JN Life experienced a marginal improvement in its net profit after tax amid a challenging economic environment, which increased by $2 million dollars to $132 million.
“The year 2022 was a good one following from 2021. We performed very creditably with our major achievement being the launch of JN Life Vest which is our flagship individual life product. We also did well financial as we had a 14 per cent increase in our gross premium. None of this would have been achieved without the individual efforts of the team,” he said.
JN Life Employee of the Year, Tonya Samuel was pleased with the recognition.
“I was pleasantly surprised when I was named Employee of the Year. It is truly a great feeling to be recognized by the company for our dedication and I am grateful that the management of JN Life saw it fit to reward us for playing our part as members of the team to make the year a successful one,” she said.
